MPO Director
General Summary & Essential Responsibilities
Performs highly responsible administrative, professional and managerial work in developing and maintaining a variety of transportation plans, programs, and designs within the Metropolitan Planning Organization. Work involves responsibility for the research, formulation, and maintenance of a comprehensive municipal transportation plan, and coordination of area developments under the plan. Supervises professional, technical and clerical staff engaged in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data related to planning programs.

Currently we have one vacancy on the BPAC:
One South County Representative – These individuals must be residents of Charlotte County to serve on the BPAC and reside in South County.
The BPAC reviews and makes recommendations on transportation plans and projects that the MPO Board will consider.
Currently we have one vacancy on the CAC:
One South County Representative – These individuals must be residents of Charlotte County to serve on the CAC and reside in South County.
The CAC provides public input on proposed MPO transportation plans and programs.

Currently we have two vacancies on LCB:
One person as a citizen advocate representative in Charlotte County.
One person representing a local private for-profit transportation industry.
The purpose of the LCB is to identify local service needs and to provide information,
advice, and direction to the Community Transportation Coordination of
service to be provided to the transportation disadvantaged.
