SR 776 Corridor Planning Study Sarasota County Line to US 41

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, conducted a Corridor Planning Study for State Road 776 (SR 776) between Sarasota County Line to the west and US 41 to the east in Charlotte County, Florida. The subject corridor involves a 16.5-mile section of SR 776. This Corridor Study was initiated to address congestion, mobility, and safety issues along SR 776 and develop recommendations for improvement strategies to benefit the users of the corridor. The objective of this study is to conduct safety, operational, and multimodal analysis and develop and prioritize intersection-specific improvements for the short-, mid-, and long-term periods. It should be noted that this study did not evaluate the widening of SR 776.
