Community and Family Engagement refers to the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people in our diverse community. This initiative, with origins in Title VI of the 1964 Federal Civil Rights Act, aims to ensure the full and fair participation of all potentially affected community members in transportation planning and decision-making processes. Your Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is providing all citizens this opportunity to reach out and provide a forum for all groups within our community, soliciting opinions, ideas, and comments for incorporation into the MPO’s 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). This includes opportunities to comment on Transportation Disadvantaged (Charlotte Rides) and other Transit Services. All community members and families are invited to attend, and your participation will have an impact on transportation planning in Charlotte County.
